Plume Studio is looking forward to reopening on soon and, on behalf of our entire staff, we’re excited to get back to the business of taking care of all of your hair care needs once again. After what has been an unprecedented health crisis, ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients and hair care professionals is our highest priority. We will be reaching out in the next few days to help you book your appointments. 

 

Everyday life after Covid-19 has brought new challenges and guidelines to insure public health. In light of this, we are committed to providing and maintaining a clean, well-organized environment while adhering to guidelines of social distancing and use of personal protection equipment such as masks, gloves and face shields. In order to achieve these goals, we respectfully ask that all clients follow some important guidelines to help us ensure a safe, healthy workplace. Since the guidelines for public health and safety are changing from day to day, our requirements will include most of if not all of the following instructions:

 

  • Arrive wearing a mask or appropriate face covering and/or shield. You will not be permitted to enter the salon without one. If you do not have an appropriate face covering, one will be provided, if available. 

  • All clients will have his or her temperature scanned at the door. 

  • Please reschedule your appointment if you are not feeling well. This is paramount to ensure the safety of other clients and to keep our staff safe so that we can continue to provide uninterrupted service. 

  • If for any reason we feel that it is not prudent to have you remain in the salon, we will reschedule your appointment for a later date. 

  • Please leave any extra clothing, i.e., coats and jackets, in your vehicle if possible. A paper bag for belongings will be provided. 

  • Hand washing will be mandatory upon arrival. 

 

Since Plume Studio’s inception, we have always made it a top priority to maintain a clean and organized salon, and these practices will continue in full force. This includes providing a freshly laundered robe or cape for every client, freshly cleaned and disinfected combs, clips and brushes for each client, and regularly cleaned and disinfected areas such as our hairdressing stations, washing sinks, chairs and bathroom. We also clean and disinfect at regular intervals all frequently touched areas and items such as door knobs/handles, our credit card terminal, pens, the reception desk and all other appurtenances in the salon that may come in contact with our clients and staff. Processing payments will also be streamlined to ensure safe and efficient transactions

 

In addition to our usual practices, we have made a few changes to better serve you as we re-open, such as providing disposable drinking cups for refreshments and paper hand towels at hand washing areas. In keeping with social distancing rules, we will reduce the number people in the salon at any given time by booking appointments with minimal overlapping of clients, working in shifts to avoid overcrowding of the space and separating our work stations to allow more distance between them. Since it is of highest importance to keep to a minimum number of people in the salon, we ask that you please refrain from bringing anyone with you to your appointment. No walk-in appointments will be accommodated and all visits must be booked in advance. In order to provide the best experience possible, we have enhanced our back patio area, providing privacy and outdoor seating for our clients to enjoy during their visit (weather permitting). 

 

We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate through these uncharted waters to create a safe and pleasant environment to serve all of our wonderful clients. We hope to see you soon and look forward to being back in the salon!
